I have always held him in high-esteem simply because Singapore would not be what it is now and I would not be who I am now.
His long term vision and hard work paid off.
Singapore is now one of the safest countries in the world. Singapore has one of the busiest ports and one of the best international airports.
Now, MM Lee Kwan Yew is stepping down. Is this a good or bad thing? With him at the reins, Singapore has flourished but also, he has come across as a tyrannical ruler.
What will become of Singapore without his guidance? Will we continue to improve or will Singapore regress?
Fingers crossed.
